Both of us get such a buzz out of doing our baby sessions. Lysa gets to hold, cuddle and hug these precious bundles and I love capturing a special (if not the most special) part of their new lives.
Although it can take an age to do the newborn sessions, one of the main reasons we do it is to see the faces of the parents when we show them the images at their viewing. Normally Kleenex do very well at this point!
Below are some of the last session we did, with good friend Karen Wiltshire, as part of our ongoing training. In this field of photography, training is extremely important. The baby's safety is of paramount concern and with so many amateur hobbyist "photographers" who advertise cheap sessions on Facebook these days, the new parent is taking a big risk. Unlike us, they have had no training and have no insurance!
We belong to a few professional associations and organisations, including being members of the British Association of Newborn Photographers to make sure we know what we are doing!
